Supervisor Warren Slocum and Menlo Park Mayor Ray Mueller

Supervisor Warren Slocum and Menlo Park Mayor Ray Mueller to hold joint Office Hours

Menlo Park Mayor Ray Mueller will welcome and join San Mateo County Supervisor Warren Slocum for office hours in Menlo Park this Saturday, April 26th from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Cafe Zoё located at 1929 Menalto Avenue.

“Mayor Mueller and I look forward to talking with the residents of Menlo Park about their issues of concern, their hopes and dreams for their city, and ideas they would like to share with us,” said Slocum.

Slocum added, “Through his work on the City Council and as a former Menlo Park Transportation Commissioner, Mayor Mueller has a demonstrated passion for all things Menlo Park and cares deeply about the quality of life for the residents of the city.”  Slocum represents the 4th District that includes the communities of East Palo Alto, east Menlo Park, Redwood City and the unincorporated community of North Fair Oaks.

“Menlo Park, its neighboring cities and the County of San Mateo have a long history of working together to resolve problems,” said Mayor Mueller.   “We face significant challenges in tackling the improvements to the infrastructure to prevent future flooding of San Francisquito Creek, the ongoing need to add affordable housing stock in the County, and strategies to meet the stringent waste management targets. I believe we are fortunate to have a leader like Warren Slocum as an advocate for the people of Menlo Park; we can work together to find new approaches to these longstanding issues.”

Slocum complimented both the Mayor and the City saying, “Menlo Park is a wonderfully livable city with a certain small town charm. It’s a great place to raise a family and a great location for small business. It’s a tribute to your leadership and to your legacy.”

No appointments are required to meet with Supervisor Slocum or Mayor Mueller, but if desired, they can be made through Marci Dragun, Legislative Aide to Supervisor Slocum.  Dragun can be reached at (650) 363-4570 or by email at mdragun@smcgov.org .
