State of the County 2018

This a boom time for much of our community. Wherever I go, I see tall cranes at job sites and help wanted signs on doors and windows at local businesses.
Yet these very signs of economic success bring with them enormous challenges. The sky-high cost of living puts strains on our residents while the growth burdens our infrastructure.
How we as a county and as a region tackle these challenges will impact the future for ourselves, our children and their children.
With these challenges in mind, I invite you to join me and other civic-minded community leaders at the State of the County 2018 address on October 24.
We will explore some of the biggest challenges our region faces and what we are doing to ensure San Mateo County continues to be a great place to live, work and play for everyone.
