The Housing Department of San Mateo County released the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Middlefield Junction in North Fair Oaks in July, 2018. The development of this parcel will incorporate 1-3 bedrooms units for a minimum of 100 affordable housing units. This 3.2 acre project site, located behind the Fair Oaks Health Clinic at 2710 Middlefield Road, is on property owned by San Mateo County. This month, we held the first Middlefield Junction Kick-Off meeting, with the Department of Housing and Mercy Housing, the developer hired to build this transformational housing.
The development of this parcel incorporates open space for the community, and most importantly, a much-needed childcare facility.
