As a proud Vietnam Veteran, the celebration of Veterans Day has so much meaning and that’s why I was proud to present a proclamation, during our November 6 Board of Supervisors meeting, designating November 11, 2018 as the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I. This Veterans Day on November 11th will be the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I, which is also knows as Armistice Day. During the Board meeting we had Barbar Wilcox, author of “World War 1 Army Training by San Francisco Bay, The Story of Camp Fremont” speak about Camp Fremont’s role in World War I.

In addition, the Board unanimously approved the San Mateo County Ordinance Code regarding commercial cannabis cultivation in the unincorporated area of San Mateo County.
