  • About a year ago, I met with parents from the Garfield School community regarding a number of their concerns. At that meeting, parents worried aloud about the safety of their children on the roadways near the school. I'm happy to report that Semicircular Road Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Project will be completed this summer to make the area more safe. The project will widen sidewalks and make a more bicycle-friendly roadway along Semicircular Road, a short bypass road that connects the busy 5th Avenue to the even busier Middlefield Road.

Semicircular Road also fronts Garfield School. Expect to see JJR Construction at work in the area. Thank you to the County's Department of Public Works for their management of this important project and thank you to Garfield School parents for speaking up!
