  • The County held its first ever ¡Si se Puede! conference where information and resources on domestic violence were provided to survivors, family members and friends. The safety network of agencies attending the conference included the Sheriff's Office, the Probation Chief John Keene and his department, the District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe and his staff, Catholic Charities, CORA, StarVista, the Fair Oaks Health Center, Headstart, and the Latino Collaborative. Attendees listened to presentations, and then had the opportunity to ask their questions in person, to obtain accurate information and referrals, and to learn about available resources in Spanish. Childcare was provided for all attendees.
